I know. We had a whole talk about that on the balcony. [Vildred's gaze softens, and he brings a hand up, freeing it from Ras' momentarily only to thread it through the other man's hair.] I still... want to spend the rest of my life with you.

...I just... do not know how to progress in that regard. There are some possibilities that come to mind, but... [ Pause. ] I suppose now that you know you have been with me for far longer than you know, it is hard for me to imagine a time when you would not be there. We have been through so much together, even if I were there for the rest of your life, I do not know how to progress... after.

I know that is selfish thinking of me, though. I apologize.
